EDITORS NOTE: THIS EDIT CONTAINS CONVERTED 4:3 MATERIAL<br/> <br />Three people were killed and five more injured as a newly-built bridge in north-eastern China collapsed.<br/> <br />The accident occurred when a 100-metre(328 feet) section of the Yangmingtan bridge in Harbin city collapsed, sending four trucks falling 30 metres to the ground.<br/> <br />The state media said the 15.4 kilometre-long (9.6 mile), eight-lane bridge opened to traffic in November 2011.<br/> <br />It was designed to handle 9,800 vehicles per hour.<br/> <br />China has experienced a number of construction accidents in recent years as the government rolls out giant infrastructure projects at breakneck speed.
