Rescue workers are digging through what is left of the city of Joplin in the midwestern US state of Missouri. They are looking for survivors after tornadoes cut the city in half. <br /> <br />At least 89 people are dead and the state governor has declared a state of emergency.<br /> <br />Al Jazeera's John Terrett reports.
