Haiti's tent cities brace themselves for the might of Tropical Storm Isaac.<br/> <br />The impoverished country - the poorest in the Americas - still has hundreds of thousands of people living in makeshift shelters like these, more than two years after a devastating earthquake killed more than a quarter of a million.<br/> <br />Many here are fearing the worst.<br/> <br />This man says that life is difficult enough under normal conditions. He expects there will be no tents left after the storm.<br/> <br />Isaac has already unleashed heavy rain and winds off Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands and is expected to dump up to 12 inches of rain over some areas.<br/> <br />Haiti is highly prone to flooding due to deforestation making rescue efforts even more difficult.<br/> <br />Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe told a news conference that the government was trying to relocate vulnerable people to safer areas.<br/> <br />But for now at least, these poor residents can do nothing but wait.
