Ship breaking, the business of dismantling old vessels and recycling parts as scrap metal, was banned in Bangladesh last year. <br /> <br />Environmentalists had long fought against it and the pollution it caused.<br /> <br />That ban was lifted in March on conditions of higher environmental standards and workers' safety.<br /> <br />The industry has until July to prove itself.<br /> <br />At Chittagong port, hundreds of old ships are waiting to be beached and dismantled.<br /> <br />Al Jazeera's Nicolas Haque reports.
