Pakistani Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf arrives in court amidst heavy security.<br/> <br />He could be formally charged with contempt of court and dismissed from his position if found guilty over his failure to comply with orders to reopen an investigation into President Asif Ali Zardari for laundering money though Swiss bank accounts.<br/> <br />The case has fuelled tension in a long-running standoff between the government and the increasingly assertive judiciary.<br/> <br />Two months ago, Ashraf's predecessor was found guilty of contempt over the same issue and was removed from his post.<br/> <br />Courts are ordering Ashraf to ensure a letter is written to Swiss authorities asking them to reopen the case against the president.<br/> <br />Ashraf said he will make a sincere effort to solve the issue.<br/> <br />The court adjourned proceedings until September 18.
