DR Congo opposition disputes poll results

Joseph Kabila, the incumbent president of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has been declared the provisional winner of the country's presidential poll.<br /><br />The provisional results were announced on Friday by the DRC election commission after several days of unplanned delays.<br /><br />The opposition, however, rejected Kabila's claim of victory, with Etienne Tshisekedi, a presidential candidate who came in second, also declaring himself a winner.<br /><br />Police cordoned off opposition neighbourhoods where sporadic gunfire was heard to stop any public protests.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Yvonne Ndege reports from the capital, Kinshasa.
