The famed Trevi fountain in Rome has been drained as it undergoes repairs to its facade.<br /><br />Several small pieces fell from the fountain in June.<br /><br />While engineers repair the monument a full check up on the general state of the attraction, completed in 1762, will be undertaken.<br /><br />It is estimated that 2.5 million euros will be needed for a complete restoration.<br />http://www.euronews.net/
