(ROUGH CUT ONLY - NO REPORTER NARRATION)<br/> <br />Egypt's President Mohamed Mursi arrived in Beijing on Tuesday (August 28), on his first trip to the country.<br/> <br />Mursi, who was elected in June and consolidated his power this month by dismissing top military leaders, is seeking to introduce himself to a wider world ahead of a trip to Iran - the first by an Egyptian leader in three decades - and China.<br/> <br />China had generally comfortable relations with former president Hosni Mubarak's government, but ties with Mursi and his Muslim Brotherhood-associated government have been less clear.<br/> <br />Mursi's visit could provide a chance to see how China intends to steer relations with Egypt and other major Middle Eastern countries transformed by the Arab Spring.
