Despite the gloom of an economic reccession, shoppers across Europe have descended upon stores for post-Christmas sales.<br /><br />In the UK, consumers spent more than $23 million dollars in the first three hours of trade but it is wealthy foreign tourists who are filling the aisles.<br /><br />When the cash flow from the British shopper has been declining, the influx of big spenders from China is very welcome news.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Simon McGregor-Wood reports from London.
