After a year of economic reforms, Cuba marks the 53rd anniversary of its communist revolution.<br /><br />The latest reforms saw carpenters, locksmiths and photographers able to operate independently of the state, but many Cubans feel that this is insufficient.<br /><br />President Raul Castro's decision not to ease its tight curbs on migration and other laws on the island has left many Cubans disappointed.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Tom Ackerman reports.
