It has been almost exactly a year since 99 per cent of people in southern Sudan voted in favour of breaking away from the north and forming their own country.<br /><br />South Sudan was declared the world's newest country on July 9 last year 2011, but six months later, it is still struggling to recover from years of conflict.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Haru Mutasa reports from Juba, the capital of South Sudan.
