Hundreds of people are reported to have been killed in one of the bloodiest days of Syria's eleven month uprising.<br /><br />Activists say Syrian forces are shelling the city of Homs. But state television says the bodies are those of civilians, kidnapped and killed by terrorists.<br /><br />The United Nations is preparing to vote on a draft resolution calling for President Bashar al Assad to step down.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Nicole Johnston reports.
