Thousands of people have demonstrated in support of the Egyptian Salafi leader Hazem Abu Ismail amid reports that he may not be allowed to participate in the upcoming presidential election.<br /><br />The ultra-conservative leader registered as a candidate a week ago, but there are allegations that his mother holds US citizenship which would disqualify him from running.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Mike Hanna reports from Cairo.
