London's Olympic Stadium is formally open for business.<br /><br />About 40,000 people attended an inauguration ceremony on Saturday, opening the stadium 2,012 hours before the official start of the games in July.<br /><br />On hand were sports fans, Olympic planners and, of course, athletes, who got a trial run of the track.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Gerald Tan reports.
