A memorial service will be held on Friday (August 31), remembering the first man to walk on the moon.<br/> <br />On July 20, 1969 astronaut Neil Armstrong made history as he stepped onto the lunar surface.<br/> <br />His iconic words, beamed to millions around the world.<br/> <br />SOUNDBITE: U.S. ASTRONAUT NEIL ARMSTRONG SAYING (English):<br/> <br />"That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind."<br/> <br />Armstrong became a national hero, hailed alongside his Apollo 11 crewmembers.<br/> <br />Following his death at the age of 82 on Saturday (August 25), many have been paying tribute to the astronaut.<br/> <br />Visitors to Washington's Smithsonian Air and Space Museum reflected on his legacy.<br/> <br />SOUNDBITE: REBECCA, VISITOR TO THE AIR AND SPACE MUSEUM SAYING (English):<br/> <br />"Great explorer, great adventurer, courageous brave man."<br/> <br />SOUNDBITE: JERRY COLEMAN, VISITOR THE THE AIR AND SPACE MUSEUM SAYING (English):<br/> <br />"I'll remember him as a great astronaut.
