The former Egyptian president has been sentenced to life in prison for his role in killing hundreds of protesters during the revolution that toppled him last year.<br /><br />But he was acquitted on charges of corruption, along with his two sons.<br /><br />The former Interior Minister Habib al-Adly was given a life sentence for ordering security forces to open fire on protesters.<br /><br />Six of his aides were also on trial. They were acquitted on all charges - including corruption and conspiring to kill protesters. <br /><br />Here is the decision as it was handed down by the presiding judge Ahmed Refaat.
