Family and friends of Neil Armstrong gather to pay him tribute at a private memorial service in Cincinnati.<br/> <br />Armstrong made history in 1969, becoming the first man to walk on the surface of the moon.<br/> <br />Hailed as a national hero, he died last week following complications from heart surgery.<br/> <br />He was 82.<br/> <br />The memorial service celebrated Armstrong's life and achievements.<br/> <br />Among the mourners were his wife Carol, and one of his 10 grandchildren.<br/> <br />Also present were his two Apollo 11 crew mates Michael Collins and Buzz Aldrin.<br/> <br />Later this month a national memorial service is expected to be held in Washington to honour the astronaut.
