Nearly two million Afghan refugees living in Pakistan are waiting to find out whether they'll have to leave by the end of the year when their residency cards expire. <br /> <br />Islamabad says it won't forcefully repatriate people once the deadline is up, but isn't offering any assurances they can stay either.<br /><br />For some Afghan refugees who have established lives in neighbouring Pakistan, the threat of return to Afghanistan, a nation many have not lived in for nearly three decades, is a fearful prospect as they would have to restart their lives in their homeland.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Imtiaz Tyab reports from Peshawar.
