The effects of the crisis in Syria have reverberated across the region.<br /><br />In neighbouring Lebanon, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's future could play a large role in the Hezbollah party's support base.<br /><br />The group, which commands the loyalty of a big chunk of Lebanon's Shia Muslim population, now faces an uncertain future as it could potentially lose one of its two closest allies, the other being Iran.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's James Bays reports from Lebanon's southern border with Israel.
