Heavy rain continues to pelt southern Louisiana and Mississippi as the region tries to recover from Hurricane Isaac, now downgraded to a tropical storm.<br /><br />A million customers in the two states are waiting for power companies to restore their electricity.<br /><br />Meanwhile, to the north and south of New Orleans, the storm has left thousands of homes underwater.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Tom Ackerman reports from Placerman Parish, Lousiana.
