Academy-Award winner Jeff Bridges brought some good ol' country music to help kick off the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, North Carolina.<br/> <br />The actor and democratic-faithful performed with his group The Abiders, rallying the crowd before President Obama will accept his nomination for a second term on September 6.<br/> <br />R & B sensation Janelle Monae also rallied the crowd, performing her hit song, "Tightrope."
