According to a global survey by the UN, the price of meat, dairy products and some cereals all rose last month.<br /><br />With Africa’s slums growing at a rate exponentially faster than most countries, many residents in these areas cannot afford to buy the food needed to keep themselves healthy.<br /><br />The survey also found that an estimated third of Kenyans living in urban areas are chronically malnourished.<br /><br />Al Jazeera’s Peter Greste reports from Kibera slum in Kenya's capital Nairobi.
