Clashes between protesters and police near the American embassy in Cairo continued into the early morning.<br/> <br />They are protesting against a film they say insulted the Prophet Mohammed.<br/> <br />Egyptian security forces fired tear gas as demonstrators threw stones.<br/> <br />The protests in Cairo started late on Tuesday when around 2000 protesters ripped down the US flag and burned it.<br/> <br />This follows violence in Benghazi on Tuesday which killed the U.S. ambassador and three staff members. The attacker were part of a mob blaming America for the film.<br/> <br />Protests over the film have spread to other muslim countries and could have an impact on the U.S. presidential race.
