Three gunmen crossed into Israel from Sinai and opened fire on soldiers, leaving one dead and wounding another. The militants themselves were then killed.<br /><br />The Israeli army reports that the men, whose nationalities have not been confirmed, were heavily armed with rifles and explosive belts.
