"Kani" means wetland and "Pakam" means flow of water into wetland.<br />Kanipakam is home to a popular Hindu temple of Lord Ganesha called as Kanipakam Vinayaka Temple. Kanipakam is a village located in Irala mandal of Chittoor district, Andhra Pradesh in South India.
