Italian climber Christian Gobbi lives to tell the tale of surviving an avalanche in Nepal.<br/> <br />(SOUNDBITE) (English) AVALANCHE SURVIVOR CHRISTIAN GOBBI, SAYING:<br/> <br />"At about half-past four, a quarter-past four, we wake up heard the wind blowing, and later we feel some snow on our tent. Then the tent was covered and we started sliding down, then after 10-15 seconds then we stopped."<br/> <br />He is one of the lucky ones. The weekend avalanche killed 11 people.<br/> <br />(SOUNDBITE) (English) AVALANCHE SURVIVOR CHRISTIAN GOBBI SAYING:<br/> <br />"Our friend was very close with the tent to us, and we are alive, and he is dead."<br/> <br />It was the deadliest such accident in Nepal in nearly two decades.
