Arab leaders have been urged to intevene in Syria to stop the killing. The call came from the Emir of Qatar, as he addressed the UN General Assembly in New York. It followed an earlier statement from US President Barack Obama that Bashar al Assad's regime must be brought down. Al Jazeera's James Bays has more from New York.
