Rescuers have now found 214 survivors from the ferry that sank in the Sunda Straight, Indonesia's Transportation Ministry says.<br/> <br />But they add that many more are still missing, a day after the vessel collided with a cargo ship.<br/> <br />The total number of passengers was listed as 200 -- the actual number is likely much higher.<br/> <br />At least eight died in the sinking, likely more.<br/> <br />Ferries are a popular means of transportation between Indonesia's many islands, where sea connections are cheaper and more available than air travel.<br/> <br />But safety standards are lax - and many ferries are severely overcrowded.
