(ROUGH CUT ONLY - NO REPORTER NARRATION)<br/> <br />STORY: Chilean students clashed with police on Thursday (September 27) as they renewed their calls for education reforms.<br/> <br />Thursday's demonstration was organized by high school student groups. Some university students and even parents joined the march.<br/> <br />Student demonstrators attempted to break down police barricades as they made their way through the capital city from the University of Santiago.<br/> <br />Police in riot gear tried to disperse the crowds and fired paint pellets at some demonstrators who responded by hurling rocks and other projectiles at the officers.<br/> <br />Police also used water cannon and tear gas against the crowd, making several arrests.<br/> <br />Chile's students have led regular protests calling for education reform since May 2011.<br/> <br />The students say they are frustrated with the government's failure to respond to their demands for a free and improved education.
