A trail of devastation in southern Spain as flash floods caused by torrential rain sweep through the region, leaving at least eight dead.<br/> <br />Hundreds were evacuated in Andalucia and here in Murcia after floodwaters tore through streets and homes, bringing down a bridge and sweeping away cars.<br/> <br />A young boy and girl found drowned in a car are reportedly among the dead.<br/> <br />Four of the victims were in the coastal provinces of Malaga and Almeria - both popular tourist destinations.<br/> <br />At least two motorways have been closed and some public transport diverted, with one flight to Malaga redirected to Seville.<br/> <br />The heavy rains, which started early on Friday, come after months of drought and soaring temperatures triggered thousands of wildfires all over Spain.
