ROUGH CUT -- NO REPORTER NARRATION<br/> <br />At least eight civilians were killed in co-ordinated bomb attacks targeting police checkpoints just north of the capital Baghdad on Sunday, police and hospital sources said.<br/> <br />They said that 22 people were also wounded when three parked car bombs went off simultaneously in Taji, 20 km (12 miles) north of Baghdad.<br/> <br />The blast was the most deadly among a string of a string of car bomb blasts targeting mainly police checkpoints killed at least 17 people across Iraq on Sunday.
