ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)<br/> <br />Rapper, Kanye West, model Ines de La Fressange, and Inglorious Basterds actress, Melanie Laurent were among Dior's guests to see the unveiling of the first ready-to-wear collection under the stewardship of Raf Simons on Friday (September 28)<br/> <br />The Belgian designer was appointed creative director earlier this year, succeeding John Galliano, who was sacked over a racist outburst in 2011.<br/> <br />Simons' show was widely considered among the most highly-anticipated events of the fashion season along with Yves Saint Laurent, which will also see the debut collection from new designer, former Dior Homme creative director, Hedi Slimane.<br/> <br />The looks presented at Dior were minimalist, including a razor-sharp black tuxedo jacket paired with cigarette pants - an homage to Christian Dior's iconic "Le Smoking" suit.
