Mitt Romney may be struggling in presidential campaign, but he can take comfort from the backing of new friends.....his relatives in England.<br/> <br />Jennie Iveson is Romney's fourth cousin. She lives here in Barrow-in-Furness, northwest England - a world away from the Washington corridors of power.<br/> <br />SOUNDBITE: JENNIE IVESON, MITT ROMNEY'S FOURTH COUSIN, SAYING (English):<br/> <br />"I've got somebody going for the job, you know, going for Presidency. Quite a really surprise. Big surprise."<br/> <br />Jennie and Mitt share a great great great grandfather, George Romney. Mitt's side of the clan left for America in 1841, while Jennie's stayed behind.<br/> <br />SOUNDBITE: JENNIE IVESON, MITT ROMNEY'S FOURTH COUSIN, SAYING (English):<br/> <br />"He looks a bit like my brother, one of my brothers. When he had dark hair like him, it's all grey now."<br/> <br />The family link was discovered by Jennie's grand-daughter, Maria and her husband Simon Nash.<br/> <br />SOUNDBITE: MARIA NASH, FOURTH COUSIN TWICE REMOVED OF MITT ROMNEY'S, SAYING (English):<br/> <br />"Just a surprising feeling really, because it's not what you expect to find in your family tree really is it? So yeah, very much shocked."<br/> <br />Politics has never been Jennie's thing, but she will take a keener interest now.<br/> <br />SOUNDBITE JENNIE IVESON, MITT ROMNEY'S FOURTH COUSIN, SAYING (English) :<br/> <br />"I will follow his thing, see if he gets to President and wish him luck and everything else."<br/> <br />When asked how Mitt Romney feels about his English roots -- his campaign spokeswoman simply said "no comment."
