Led Zeppelin unites for tribute concert movie premiere.

Rock royalty Led Zeppelin united on Tuesday for the New York premiere 'Celebration Day' - a concert film based on their highly anticipated 2007 comeback gig in London.<br/> <br />Founding members singer Robert Plant, guitarist Jimmy Page and bassist John Paul Jones were joined by Jason Bonham, the son of late drummer John Bonham.<br/> <br />SOUNDBITE: Jimmy Page, guitarist of "Led Zeppelin", saying (English):<br/> <br />"I think we've done a pretty good job with this. And people will get a chance to see the communication between us on stage and the passion that we have. I think that's conveyed very well within the film."<br/> <br />Following the untimely death of John Bonham - Led Zep broke up in 1980.<br/> <br />And it wasn't until this gig - 27 years later - that fans got to see them perform a headline show.<br/> <br />SOUNDBITE: Mick Jones, guitarist of "Foreigner", saying (English):<br/> <br />"Just being there that night the anticipation in the crowd, it was like a one-off -- supposedly, I don't know what their plans are, but it was the closest you get to Led Zeppelin for a while and maybe for a while to come. I don't know."<br/> <br />Foreigner guitarist Mick Jones was one of a number of rock legends at the premiere.<br/> <br />Guitarist Kirk Hammett and Paul Stanley of Metalica and Kiss fame respectively were also at the event.<br/> <br />Humbled by the loyalty of his band's fanbase, Bassist Jones had a few heartfelt words:<br/> <br />SOUNDBITE: John Paul Jones, bassist of "Led Zeppelin", saying (English):<br/> <br />"If they are still out there, they are probably my age to start. Take care, take it easy, take it slow, and thank you very much."<br/> <br />'Celebration Day' is due to open in theatres on October 17 - followed by an audio and video release in November.
