Locals gathered near the site where a Yemeni man who worked at the U.S. embassy was killed.<br/> <br />SOUNDBITE: Eyewitness Mansour al Hamadi saying (Arabic):<br/> <br />"He was coming out of his house and heading to work, when a man called him and yelled 'hey you.' As soon as Qassem turned, the man shot him in the head with three bullets."<br/> <br />The attackers were reportedly on a motorcycle when they opened fire on Qassem Aglan, the head of the embassy security team. Several have said the assassination attempt had the fingerprints of al Qaeda.<br/> <br />Political turmoil in Sanaa has given the group a chance to tighten its grip on parts of the country over the past few months.<br/> <br />Concerns about al Qaeda have prompted Washington to step up drone strikes on suspected militant positions.
