Hundreds honour slain US Ambassador Chris Stevens

Hundreds gather at San Francisco's City Hall to honour Chris Stevens - the U.S. Ambassador to Libya who was killed on September 11th.<br/> <br />Steven's brother and sister led the tributes.<br/> <br />(SOUNDBITE) (English) ANNE STEVENS SULLIVAN, SISTER:<br/> <br />"It's very important who your big brother is, and we had the very best. The world needs a lot more big brothers like Chris Stevens."<br/> <br />(SOUNDBITE) (English) TOM STEVENS, BROTHER:<br/> <br />"He was a relentlessly positive and hopeful person, the best was always yet to come. He was a golden guy who foresaw a golden future. And he was always very, very humble." And he taught me over the years to stay positive."<br/> <br />Fluent in Arabic and French, Stevens served as deputy ambassador to Libya from 2007 to 2009.<br/> <br />During the Libyan uprising in 2011 he set up a diplomatic outpost in Benghazi in support of the rebel opposition, which eventually earned him the role of US Ambassador.<br/> <br />But Stevens was killed along with three other Americans on September 11th 2012 in an attack on the US consulate in the city.
