***EDIT CONTAINS GRAPHIC IMAGES***<br/> <br />Talk of a ceasefire in Syria<br/> <br />Kofi Annan's replacement Lakhdar Brahimi made the announcement in Egypt.<br/> <br />SOUNDBITE: International envoy Lakhdar Brahimi saying (Arabic):<br/> <br />"All I want to tell you is that after my visit to Damascus, there was an agreement amongst the Syrian government for a ceasefire during Eid and I believe that they will release a statement either today or tomorrow."<br/> <br />Syrian military forces say they are reviewing the agreement. Rebels told Reuters that the ceasefire will be pointless without international monitors in place to<br/> <br />The Muslim holiday begins on Thursday and lasts several days.<br/> <br />In the meantime, however, new reports that 25 people including women and children were killed during a massacre in just outside of Damascus.<br/> <br />Rebels and Syrian forces are each blaming the other for the incident<br/> <br />Other amateur video which Reuters cannot independently verify purports to show the aftermath of shelling in Idlib. Rebels are believed to have taken control of part of a highway used by government forces to move troops between Aleppo and Damascus.
