Police clash with hardline Salafists in Tunisia, in the latest sign of growing religious tension in the country.<br/> <br />A security source said that one person was killed on Tuesday night when police opened fire.<br/> <br />Hundreds of Salafists attacked a police station to protest the arrest of one of their colleagues accused of assaulting a police chief.<br/> <br />Tension has been increasing between Islamists and secularists since the Islamist Ennahda Movement won an election last year.<br/> <br />The moderate Islamic group formed a coalition with two non religious parties and promised not to impose strict Islamic laws.<br/> <br />But the government is under pressure from hardline Salafi Muslims calling for the introduction of Islamic Sharia law, and from secularists determined to prevent this.
