A funeral for a father and son killed by superstorm Sandy.<br/> <br />The body of 51-year-old John Filipowicz and his 20-year-old son, John C. were found in the basement of their Staten Island home.<br/> <br />Local media reported that the two men were found locked in a "final father-and-son embrace".<br/> <br />The father, an Ex-Marine and his son had decided to stay in the family home during Sandy while the rest of the family, including John twin brother Joseph, were evacuated.<br/> <br />The pair were buried together in a single grave.<br/> <br />Sandy slammed into the U.S. East Coast a week ago -- with the U.S. death toll now at least 113.
