Hurricanes start in Africa come up looking for the cold ."<br/> <br />Vincent Reilly is assessing the damage to his Breezy Point house after a snowstorm hammered parts of the U.S. Northeast.<br/> <br />Many in this neighborhood were forced to leave after Sandy knocked out their power over a week ago. City workers and locals could be seen removing trash from homes destroyed by flooding.<br/> <br />Joanne Kane says her main objective is getting her children back into a regular routine.<br/> <br />SOUNDBITE: Joanne Kane saying:<br/> <br />"I have one daughter who is in the school that has 50 kids in one classroom. You know, the snow just increased the water flow in the basement. I am luckier than most though, do I have to say,"<br/> <br />The morning after the storm, a total to 715,000 homes and businesseses are without power --- an increase of 43,000 homes from the previous day.
