The wreckage of a shopping centre in Ghana's capital, where staff and shoppers were trapped when the building collapsed.<br/> <br />At least nine people were killed when the building fell due to a suspected structural failure.<br/> <br />A search and rescue team from Israel arrived at the site on Thursday (November 8) to help locate survivors.<br/> <br />The team were equipped with sniffer dogs and devices to locate movement in the building.<br/> <br />Sixty-nine people have been found alive.<br/> <br />Ghanaian President John Mahama said an inquiry was looking into what happened, after it emerged the building had not been approved by the city authorities.<br/> <br />SOUNDBITE: GHANA PRESIDENT, JOHN DRAMANI MAHAMA, SAYING (English):<br/> <br />"We are going to work with the institute of architecture, city authorities, to inspect all high-rise buildings and make sure they are architecturally sound. Beyond that we must certify that buildings are sound before they are put up."<br/> <br />Investigators have begun speaking to officials and are seeking the building's owner for questioning.
