A small plane crashed into a home in Jackson, Mississippi on Tuesday, killing the pilot and two passengers, but sparing the residents of the house.<br/> <br />According to a local newspaper, one woman survived by jumping out of a window.<br/> <br />The other resident wasn't home.<br/> <br />The pilot of the 1972 Piper Cherokee single-prop plane asked air traffic control for permission to land just minutes after taking off.<br/> <br />But the aircraft never made it to the runway, crashing instead into this residential neighbourhood.<br/> <br />The Jackson Municipal Airport Authority issued a statement saying the National Transportation Safety Board will lead in investigation into the accident.
