Two people have been killed in an explosion at an apartment block in the city of Kazan in the Tatar Republic. One has been taken to hospital in a critical condition. Rescue teams are continuing to search for trapped residents. With temperatures around 30 degrees below zero, they are in a race against time to reach survivors.
