28 of the rescued Chilean miners left the hospital on Friday as they returned to their friends and families. Florencio Avalos, the first miner to be rescued, was once again greeted by his son as he arrived at the gates of his family home. Nearby the families of Dario Segovia and Carlos Barrios, the 20th and 13th miners to be rescued, also threw homecoming parties. So too did those close to the last miner bought to the surface, shift foreman Luis Urzua Iribarren who was showered with confetti as he arrived home. Two miners still remain in hospital, reportedly suffering from vertigo.
