A suicide truck bomb kills at least three people including a child in Wardak province in eastern Afghanistan.<br/> <br />Dozens were wounded in the attack, including NATO troops.<br/> <br />The Taliban is claiming responsibility for the bombing<br/> <br />The attack comes as the overall security situation is improving, says Brigadier General Gunter Katz in Kabul.<br/> <br />(SOUNDBITE) (English) BRIGIDIER GENERAL GUNTER KATZ, SAYING:<br/> <br />"Just by looking at the last month -- October - we got decent numbers here we had a drop of 20 percent of enemy initiated attacks compared to last year. This is a another clear sign that the insurgency is losing the fight.<br/> <br />Wardak saw the worst single incident suffered by foreign forces in the 11-year war last year when the Taliban shot down a transport helicopter, killing 38 troops, 30 of whom were American, mostly elite Navy SEALs.
