There have been demonstrations across Egypt in protest at the sweeping powers assumed by President Mohamed Morsi.<br /><br />Morsi issued a decree on Thursday, giving himself and other bodies immunity from any legal challenge.<br /><br />Critics have accused him of becoming another dictator.<br /><br />But speaking to his supporters just a few hours ago, Morsi said he was protecting the goals of the revolution.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Stefanie Dekker reports from Cairo.
