Here is a sample of Red Steel for the original Wii playing on the new Wii U via HDMI.<br />The Wii U is not upscaling the graphics but is out putting the image in full digital 1080p.<br /><br />I've made this video in 720p from the native 1080p capture. The file in 1080p is almost 3GB in size.<br />I will see if I split the original mt2 video into two parts in the full 1080p. As you can see the image quality is still quite high. Even though I captured it in a low quality 2000 kbps.<br /><br />In the end, original Wii games look amazing and much better than on a Wii with component cables in a low analog resolution of 480p.<br /><br />I did not enhance anything except the fact that I down resolution to 720p from the native 1080p capture file.
