Despite peace talks between Colombia's FARC rebels and the government, little has changed for the people living at the heart of the five-decade conflict.<br /><br />Efforts by the government to increase its presence in Cauca is an attempt to weaken the rebels' influence in the region.<br /><br />Recently, the FARC announced a temporary unilateral ceasefire.
