Marie Vigabe fled her home as violence rages across the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo.<br/> <br />She found safety in a refugee camp. But she doesn't want to be there.<br/> <br />(SOUNDBITE) (Swahili) INTERNALLY DISPLACED PERSON, MARIA VIGABE, SAYING:<br/> <br />"We want to go back home, we want our children to go back to school. Our children are just suffering here at this camp."<br/> <br />Thousands are displaced in the region. The UN is now distributing food.<br/> <br />M23 rebels, thought to be backed by Rwanda, already won control of Goma. The rebels show no sign of quitting and plan to march on other cities in the east.<br/> <br />As the displaced are making do, the government says it will not negotiate with rebels until they leave Goma. But a rebel spokesman says Kinshasa is in no position to set conditions on peace talks.
