ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)<br/> <br />UNICEF (United Nations Children's Fund) Ambassador Selena Gomez and Katy Perry came out to support UNICEF's eighth annual Snowflake Ball in New York on Tuesday (November 27).<br/> <br />20-year-old Gomez is one of the youngest Ambassadors and said kids have a special place in her heart.<br/> <br />"I started with the Disney Channel and you know, my show had a lot of younger fans. When I see the fans and we have live audience tapings and I see some of them maybe being sick it's just - they are the reason why I am here," said Gomez.<br/> <br />Perry, who hit the red carpet with actress Allison Williams: "If I can take the attention that I have and kind of reprioritize it for other people then I feel like I am doing better work."<br/> <br />Money raised during the event's silent auction will go to benefit the U.S. Fund for UNICEF.
